We currently only sell our products online in China. We choose not to sell to physical stores due to China’s animal testing policies. Selling products online does not require compliance with China’s animal testing regime. We will never consider selling in physical stores in China until they change their policies around animal testing.

We receive many export enquiries each week, so we require that you first make contact via email with full details of your distribution company, capabilities and proposal. Providing more information will be beneficial to your request. Please note that only successful enquiries will receive a response and no time frame can be guaranteed.
We have looked at our customers being able to return their bottles and having them refilled. As we are a Carbon Neutral brand, we must consider the immeasurable impact of having bottles sent back and refilled and the additional strain on resources this would cause. Having refill stations in store poses the risk of product contamination and sanitation issues and therefore is not an option. All bottles and jars, are recyclable and we encourage you to reuse and recycle as much as possible.

Yes, all of our products are cruelty-free. We do not test on animals.

We do not mail out samples by request. However, we hear you & we listen so by fall 2019 we will implement HAUTO Proof Program. When you shop with us online, we provide free samples with orders when available.
HAUTO has solved your problem of buying cosmetics online with our exclusive Proof Testers Program: With every order, we include a generous sample of the product you purchased. This allows you to experience the texture, feel and, if applicable, the fragrance and/or color as well as try it with the other products in your regimen. If you like it (we know you will!), keep the full size. If you don’t like it, for whatever reason, don’t break the seal on the full size product. Ship it back to us and we will give you a full refund. HAUTO has the most liberal return policy in the industry. It’s unprecedented. How much do you charge for shipping and handling?
We are currently offering free standard shipping on all purchases and returns. Expedited shipping services are available for a fee: 1-2 business days - $10 and overnight - $25.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Processing time typically takes 1 business day. For example, with standard shipping, orders will be delivered within 4-6 business days from when the order is placed. For expedited shipping, please allow 2-3 business days from when the order is placed. Overnight shipping will deliver the following business day for all orders placed before 11 am ET.
Do you charge sales tax on my purchases?
We charge sales tax for products shipped to California and Michigan.

We use Phenoxyethanol as a preservative system in some of our products, this is done to ensure that our products are 100% safe for use. We include this ingredient (always at less than 1%) to make sure that no bacteria, fungus or mold gets into our products and negatively affects your skin.
We are always on the lookout for new, innovative natural ingredients to use in our products, but unfortunately, all currently available natural preservative systems that we have trialled have resulted in a product that expires after 3-6 months (and needs to be kept refrigerated), a product that needs high amounts of preservative and could have less of the skin caring ingredients, or a product with a much higher price than what we currently offer (Natural preservative systems can be very expensive).
Until a natural preservative becomes available that meets our strict safety standards, while also keeping our product effective and affordable, we will use Phenoxyethanol at low levels to give you peace of mind that HAUTO products are safe for your use.

Yes, all of our products are made without the use of parabens.
Yes. Free of gluten except for CLEAR.
Although we try to avoid gluten and gluten derivatives in our products, there may be a few products that include them for performance. Unless otherwise specified in the Product or Campaign description, we cannot guarantee that the raw materials used may not have come into contact accidentally with gluten during their manufacturing process at our suppliers.
Yes, all of our products are 100% vegan. We are strongly opposed to animal testing and support pushing alternative testing methods forward. We hope they will be adopted by all regulatory agencies and we will all see an end to animal testing.
Our products are made using natural and organic ingredients, however, not all are 100% natural and organic
HAUTO products are formulated to be hypo-allergenic or non-comedogenic. Due to the nature of individual skin, we cannot claim or guarantee performance. If you have a specific concern, please email email@example.com prior to purchase and we can help suggest a product that is suitable for your skin. Please also consult your dermatologist if you have any concerns on possible allergies or specific skin issues.

Although we value high-performance and results-driven products, we will never formulate with Sulfates, Pthalates, Parabens, Nitrates, Coal Tar, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Releasing Agents, Oxybenzone, ethanolamines (DEA/TEA/MEA/ETA), retinol palmitate, aluminum, talc, hydroquinone, triclosan, triclocarban, BHA and BHT. All of our manufacturing partners and their facilities have been vetted for quality controls of the highest standards. Our teams’ decades of experience in the beauty business allows us to only pick the very best partners, who are the benchmark for quality within the industry. We ensure that we keep current on all ingredient and regulatory issues.

Your satisfaction is important to us. We are developing a special testing program with our HAUTO Proof Program. You will receive your order with a sample tester of the exact product you have bought. Try that sample and see if you want to keep the full size. If you like the product then break the seal and use/keep the full size. If you are not satisfied then return the unopened and unused product within 30 days for a product refund. Please email customer service to process the return at firstname.lastname@example.org. Instructions and a printable ship return label will be provided. Once the product is received back at our warehouse, your credit will be processed. Returns are processed within 5 business days of receipt. Credit card refunds can take up to 30 days depending on your bank’s policies. If a free gift is applied, it must be returned unused with any purchased items to receive a full refund. All bloom bundles are excluded from additional promo codes, free gifts and discounts.
